I’m in ministry. What do you offer?

We are a hospitality house for Christian ministry workers, including:

  • those who work cross-culturally in full-time Christian ministry,
  • those who minister in creative-access locations,
  • pastors and leaders of Christian ministry organizations.

It is our heart to provide a space for ministry workers who need rest, especially those in a challenging season. While we believe vacation is a key component of a healthy work-life balance, the main intent of this house is for Christian retreat, intentional rest, and transformative experiences that refresh the soul.

In addition to a space for rest and personal retreat, we also offer debriefings (Le Rucher Exchange at the Cross model) and a safe place to talk through ministry issues in an informal coaching environment. Since we, the hosts, are single women, we currently only offer debriefings to women.

Our house is a family dwelling in a quiet village in Slovenia. The third floor of the house is a guest space with two spacious bedrooms, a living room, a small kitchenette, a balcony, and a private bathroom. There are also shared outdoor spaces: a sunny garden terrace in the front yard and a cool, shaded picnic table in the back yard. Our guests are welcome to stay here up to 14 days.

As hosts, we live on the first and second floors of the same house along with a small dog. We prepare one meal a day for our guests, usually the evening meal, which can be shared with the hosts in the dining room or enjoyed privately in the guest kitchenette. Guests are responsible for arranging their own breakfasts and lunches.

The village is small and rural, but there are grocery stores, coffee shops, and bank machines within walking distance. There is also a restaurant a very short drive away. As a plus, our valley has a variety of hiking trails, ranging from easy to challenging.

You will not have to share the guest space with anyone outside your family. We host only one unit — such as a small family, a married couple, or a single woman — at a time. We can host small families with up to two adolescent or two young adult kids upon request. Currently, due to lease restrictions, we are unable to host children under 13.

We do make exceptions to the one-unit-only rule for single women in ministry who want to share the space with a friend or colleague they already know. Talk to us if you wish to arrange a stay together with another woman who works in ministry.

We believe Christian hospitality is a reflection of the generous heart of our Father, so we don’t charge our guests for their stay. The expense of hosting is covered by individuals and churches who support this ministry out of a desire to offer refreshing to Christian ministry workers.
